About Michelle
I am a Christian, God is the head of my life. I'm a mom of two beautiful daughters, a grandmother to her 4 adorable grandsons, a wife to my husband Clift for 28 years, a daughter, sister and friend to many. I am a mentor, investor, wealth builder, published author, educator and entrepreneur. I am passionate about helping others and Real Estate is the avenue in which I use to do that. I am a licensed REALTOR® , Associate Broker and Team Leader of Michelle Pettway and Associates, PalmerHouse Properties. Prior to getting my license I worked as a Property Manager, managing 2 apartment complexes in Doraville, GA with over 500 units. I also worked as a Rehab Supervisor for an apartment complex in Stone Mountain, GA. In 2001 I earned my Real Estate License from GAMLS. I worked for Keller Williams for 12 years.. In 2008 I began teaching Short Sales to agents. In 2010 I became a Certified Market Center Trainer for Keller Williams University after completing the Train The Trainer Program. In 2012 I earned my Instructor's License from The Georgia Real Estate Commission. and began teaching the Salesperson Pre License, Post License and CE courses. In 2012 I also opened a real estate school, Real Estate Systems Training Institute where I currently teach Salesperson Pre License, Broker Pre License and CE. My schools offers Online Pre License Courses in 17 states. I write many of my Continuing Education Courses. I am a member of the DeKalb Association of REALTORS® where I have serve of the Board of Directors and I have also served as the President for the DeKalb Network of the Women's Council of REALTORS®. In 2014 I received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the DeKalb Chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS®. To stay sharp I often takes classes from other instructors, attend semi annual school meetings, travel to Real Estate Conventions throughout the US and I am a member of Georgia Real Estate Educators Association. Through my Sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., in which I am an active member. I regularly participate in community service events such as AIDS Walk, Meals on Wheels and I've also served as a chairperson for the March of Dimes. While I continue to work in Real Estate Sales my true passion is Education, Public Speaking and the Empowerment of others. And Finally, I love to DIY (Do it Yourself) projects around the house.
